Calgary Corporate Challenge 2013 presented a great opportunity for Talisman to utilize elements of its new internal brand and drive employees to participate in the event.
Forum created a Marketing Communications strategy for the event which captured past learnings, goals for the year, target audiences, key messages etc. Using the plan, we produced a creative platform leveraging the internal brand 'A different kind of fuel' which we translated to 'Fuelled by the Win' for this initiative.
Using the iconic hedgehog from an internally promoted book on creating a culture of success, we illustrated a dynamic mascot and applied it across all the marketing pieces. We intentionally phased out the marketing approach with strategic messaging and engaging creative to share the benefits of participation and get an increasing buzz leading up to the event.
The outcome was exceptional - employees were talking about the event constantly as it approached, participation was up 230% from 2012 and Talisman placed 5th overall.

Produce a phased Marketing Communications strategy with multiple tools and tactics, as well as a unique creative platform to generate event awareness and interest.
The event was a huge success. There was a significant increase in employee engagement as well as an improvement in the team's overall performance.
